Armeria maritima Alba, commonly known as White Thrift, is an herbaceous perennial grown for its pretty flowers. Clusters of white flowers are borne on slender stems that rise above the foliage in spring. This compact, low-growing plant forms a dense mounded of grass-like, dark green leaves. It typically grows to 15 cm tall and 20 cm same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of light frost, coastal environments, and periods of dry. Armeria maritima Alba is ideal for rock gardens, coastal and cottage gardens, “white” gardens, border plantings, or maintaining in a container.
