Aristea major Brilliant Blue
"Brilliant Blue" is a spectacular herbaceous perennial that grows as a clump. It features tall, green, sword-like leaves. In spring, tall spikes rise above the foliage to bear clusters of intense blue flowers. These flowering display is quite impressive. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It will tolerate some frost and dry conditions once established. "Brilliant Blue" is commonly used for adding flair to a mixed planting. It adds vibrancy wherever it is grown and a mass planting is outstanding.
