Arctotis Red Flame is a variety of the commonly known, African Daisy, and is grown for its striking, daisy-like flowers. It bears flowers that have red petals that change to orange as they approach the centre and flowers for most of the year. It typically grows to 40 cm tall and 1 m wide with a spreading growth habit. Best performance with this plant is achieved when grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, coastal conditions, frost, and cool climates. Arctotis Red Flame is commonly mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, included in coastal gardens, planted along the edge of a path or in borders, or used to brighten up a dull corner of the garden.
