Arctotis Mauve Delight is a variety of the commonly known, African Daisy, and is grown for its striking and warm, daisy-like flowers. It carries lovely, purple flowers which fade to white and surround a dark centre. This variety flowers for most of the year. It typically grows to 40 cm tall and 1 m wide with a spreading growth habit. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, coastal conditions, frost, and cool climates. Arctotis Mauve Delight is commonly mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, included in coastal or cottage gardens, planted along the edge of a path or in borders, or used to brighten up a dull corner of the garden.
