Arctotis Flame is a variety of the commonly known African Daisy and grown for its vibrant, red-orange flowers through most of the year. The bright and showy flowers are produced from winter through summer and are held above the lush, grey foliage. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 40 cm tall and 1 m wide with a spreading habit, and performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, coastal conditions, moderate frost, cool climates, and some wind. Arctotis Flame is commonly mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, included in coastal gardens, planted along the edge of a path or in borders, or used to brighten up a dull corner of the garden.
