Anigozanthos Bush Tenacity

“Bush Tenacity” is a variety of the commonly known, Kangaroo Paw, and grown for its unusual flowers. It produces clusters of velvet covered, yellow-red flowers through spring and summer which are quite unique. These are held on a slender stem above the strap-like, green leaves and are great for attracting birds. This perennial grows as a clump to about 50 cm tall and 40 cm wide, preferring a full sun or partial shade position on a well-drained soil. It is tolerant of moderate frost and dry periods once established. This variety of Kangaroo Paw is commonly used in rock gardens, included in borders or mixed plantings, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools and the like, or maintained in a container. The flowers bring an interesting element to the garden and also make an excellent cut flower.
