Anigozanthos 'Bush Gold'

How to grow Anigozanthos 'Bush Gold' in NZ

Anigozanthos 'Bush Gold' grows best in a sunny position with free draining soil. Full sun is essential for achieving strong growth and abundant flowering. Improve drainage before planting if the soil is heavy, as excess moisture can reduce plant performance. Water regularly during establishment, then reduce watering once the plant is established. A warm location with good airflow will help maintain healthy foliage and maximise flowering. This variety thrives in many New Zealand garden environments when drainage is adequate.

Anigozanthos 'Bush Gold' care tips

Anigozanthos 'Bush Gold' is easy to maintain and flowers for an extended period with minimal effort. Remove spent flower stems at the base after flowering to encourage fresh blooms and maintain a tidy appearance. Apply a balanced fertiliser during spring to support healthy growth and flower production. Water during prolonged dry periods but avoid excessive moisture around the roots. Removing old foliage as required will keep plants looking fresh and encourage vigorous new growth.

Anigozanthos 'Bush Gold' size, spacing, and growth rate

Anigozanthos 'Bush Gold' typically grows to around 50 to 80 centimetres tall and spreads approximately 50 to 70 centimetres wide.
