Anemone White is a hybrid variety of Japanese Anemone grown for its showy, single, white flowers. The flowers are produced from summer through autumn and are held on slender stems above the lush, mid green foliage. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 75 cm tall and 50 cm wide though may die back in cold environments to regrow again when temperatures warm. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. Anemone White is commonly used in cottage or “white” gardens, grown in a container, included in borders and mixed plantings, or mass planted for a dramatic display.
