Anemone Pink is a variety of Japanese Anemone grown for its masses of showy, pink flowers in summer and autumn. The flowers are held on slender stems above the lush, mid green foliage. This herbaceous perennial will grow to about 75 cm tall and 50 cm wide, and is generally cut back each winter to encourage fresh growth in spring. It grows best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site, and is tolerant of some wind, frost, dry periods, and cool climates. Plants may die back during winter in cold climates but will regrow when temperatures warm. Anemone Pink is a great plant for cottage gardens or for including in mixed and border plantings. A mass planting looks very effective.
