Alstroemeria 'Inca Desert'

How to grow Alstroemeria 'Inca Desert' in NZ

Alstroemeria 'Inca Desert' grows best in a sunny position or light shade with fertile, well drained soil. Incorporating compost before planting will improve soil structure and encourage strong root development. Water regularly during establishment and throughout dry periods to maintain healthy growth and flowering. Mulching around the base helps retain moisture and suppress weeds. Consistent watering and good soil fertility encourage abundant blooms and vigorous growth.

Alstroemeria 'Inca Desert' is easy to maintain once established. Apply a balanced fertiliser during spring and summer to encourage prolific flowering. Remove spent flower stems by pulling them gently from the base to promote fresh growth and continued blooming. Water during extended dry periods and keep plants free from competing weeds. Dividing mature clumps every few years will help maintain vigour and maximise flowering performance.
