Alchemilla mollis, commonly known as Lady’s Mantle, is an herbaceous perennial grown for both its foliage and flowers. Small, bright yellow flowers are borne in large and showy sprays just above the foliage from spring through summer. These sit nicely above the scallop shaped, light green leaves. This plant has a creeping habit and typically grows to 30 cm tall and 50 cm wide. It is easily grown on well-drained soils in full sun or partial shade, and will tolerate reasonable shade as well as light frost. The creeping habit and lovely form makes Alchemilla mollis ideal for using in borders, for lining pathways, or using as an attractive groundcover.
