Large and showy clusters of dark blue flowers are produced in summer on slender stems above the cream and green variegated leaves. The combination of flowers and foliage is very aesthetic. It grows as a tidy clump to about 45 cm tall and 60 cm same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of heavy soils, moderate frost, dry periods, and some wind.
