The clusters are borne on solid stems above the foliage and contrast nicely with the strap like, dark green foliage as it grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide. Agapanthus Black Buddhist is commonly used in borders and mixed plantings, mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, used in cottage gardens, or simply maintained in a container.

Agapanthus Black Buddhist Details

Agapanthus Black Buddhist produces a bounty of stunning, trumpet shaped, blue flowers through summer. Each flower is light blue with a dark blue stripe and is borne from a dark blue bud. The clusters are borne on solid stems above the foliage and contrast nicely with the strap like, dark green foliage. It grows as a clump to about 60 cm tall and the same wide, growing best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of cool climates, moderate frost, dry periods, some wind, and a wide range of soil conditions except extreme wet or dry. Agapanthus Black Buddhist is commonly used in borders and mixed plantings, mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, used in cottage gardens, or simply maintained in a container. The most stunning displays with this plant are achieved when it is mass planted.
