Agapanthus Arctic Star Details

Agapanthus Arctic Star, commonly known as African Lily, is a compact, evergreen, clump-forming plant that produces masses of stunning, pure white flowers as large clusters through summer. The flowers are borne on solid stems above the foliage and contrast nicely with the strap-like, dark green foliage. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, growing best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is a hardy plant that grows well on heavier soils and is also tolerant of cool climates, coastal environments, and dry periods. Agapanthus Arctic Star is commonly maintained in a container, planted around pavers, included in rock and cottage gardens, added to “white” gardens, or planted around outdoor living areas. The most stunning displays with this variety are achieved when it is mass planted on a bank or the like.
