Aechmea covata is a variety of Bromeliad grown for its lovely foliage and flowers. This herbaceous perennial grows as a clump and carries strap like, fresh green leaves. The foliage is adorned during spring and summer with large and showy, bright red flowers. The flowers and the foliage complement each other nicely.
