Achillea Salmon Beauty is a variety of commonly known, Yarrow, and is grown for its elegant sprays of umbrella shaped, bright salmon-pink flowers. The flowers are borne through summer on long stems that rise above the narrow, dark green, fern like foliage and gradually age to become white. They are great for attracting butterflies and have a pleasant aroma. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and 40 cm wide, preferring a well-drained site in full sun. It will also grow well in partial shade and is largely drought tolerant and will grow well on poorer soils. It may die back in cooler regions during autumn to regrow again when conditions warm. Achillea Salmon Beauty is commonly used in border plantings, mixed plantings, cottage gardens, maintained in a pot, or included anywhere the beauty of this plant can be enjoyed.
