Lepidozamia peroffskyana is a popular and elegant Cycad. It features long, feathery, dark green fronds that have a graceful arch. These are borne off a short trunk as a rosette. It typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade, protected from both wind and heavy frost. It will tolerate light frost but should be protected while establishing. This Palm is commonly included in “tropical” gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, grown in a container, or included in a mixed planting.
