Schoenus pauciflorus, commonly known as Bog Rush, is a NZ native sedge. It features dark brown, fine, grass like foliage, and grows as a clump to about 1 m tall and the same wide. This tussock performs best when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site that does not dry out. It is a tough plant that will tolerate coastal conditions, wind, frost, cool climates, and swamp conditions. Schoenus pauciflorus is commonly used in riparian plantings, revegetation and erosion control projects, or mass planted on a bank or the like.
