Commonly known as the Soft-Stem Bull Rush, this is a NZ native Rush that grows to about 70 cm tall and 60 cm wide with long and slender, dark green and brown foliage. Plants prefer boggy, wet conditions in either full sun or partial shade. This is a great plant for using in wetland restoration where it is often planted in standing water or waterway margins such as ponds, streams, etc. It is also being increasingly used in modern landscaping for its hardiness and interesting aesthetics.
