Carex trifida Rekohu Sunrise is a very attractive NZ native grass featuring variegated, arching green and cream coloured foliage. This elegant plant grows to about 40 cm high and the same wide. It grows best on a well-drained site in full sun and will tolerate coastal conditions, frost, and cool climates, but not prolonged periods of wet. Carex Rekohu Sunrise is commonly used in border plantings, rock gardens, planted around the base of larger plants, mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, or simply grown in a container.
