How to use Potting Media

Use Potting Media when planting or repotting plants into containers, pots, or planters. Partly fill the container with fresh media, position the plant at the correct depth, then fill around the roots and gently firm into place. Leave enough space at the top for watering and water thoroughly after planting. For best results, use fresh media rather than reusing old mix, and choose a blend suited to the plant being grown.

Is the nursery grade media suitable for gardenias?

Yes, we pot up our Gardenias into this media. We do supplement the Gardenias with Magnesium nitrate during winter as a foliar feed to keep them going strong.

Ficus Tuffi and Coprosma acerosa are tried and true, but new favourites like Schefflera actinophylla, Strelitzia reginae (Orange Bird Of Paradise), and Pandorea rosea superba are just waiting to be discovered.
