Zygocactus Sunburst Fantasy, commonly known as the Schlumbergera Zygocactus, is a popular indoor plant owing to its showy flowers and interesting foliage. It produces fleshy, dark green stems that resemble leaves welded together. During summer the plant is adorned with bright red-orange flowers which turn the plant into a spectre of colour. It typically grows to 30 cm tall and 50 cm wide, and performs best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered, frost free site. It is tolerant of extended dry periods which makes it ideal for growing indoors. It does not like cold or drafty positions, however. Zygocactus Sunburst Fantasy makes for a wonderful pot plant that is great for offices, conservatories, or for placing on a shelf.
