Commonly known as the Mistletoe Cactus, this is a succulent grown for its slender and trailing stems. Masses of the dark green stems hang from the plant like braids of thick hair. They are complemented with small, yellow-green-white flowers in summer. It typically grows to 105 cm tall and the braids can reach 7-8 m in length, but are often trimmed to shorter lengths (i.e., 50 cm). It grows best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site that is frost free. The Mistletoe Cactus is commonly grown as a potted plant indoors or in an office. It can be grown outdoors in suitable environments.
