The Birken plant, scientifically known as Philodendron Birkin, is a very popular indoor plant owing to its beauty, ease to grow, and short stature. It features leaves that are variegated with green and white stripes. The variegation becomes more intense as the level of light increases. It typically grows to about 15 cm tall and the same wide but can reach 40 cm tall and wide when grown in optimal conditions. For best results it should be grown in indirect light, with a well-drained media, and away from drafts and cold areas. An office desk, windowsill, or shelf are often perfect for this plant.
