Pellionia pulchra, commonly known as the Watermelon Pellonia, is a colourful plant often grown as an indoor plant. It produces slender stems that host leaves that are variegated dark green and lime green. It typically grows to 15 cm tall and 40 cm wide, performing best when grown in indirect light or partial shade in a sheltered position with a well-drained growing media. Over-watering will damage this plant as will frost, cold temperatures, and drafty positions. Pellionia pulchra is commonly grown indoors in an office or the like where a fresh, delightful, and elegant plant is required. It can also be grown outdoors in favourable environments.
