Boston Fern

Commonly known as the Boston Fern, this is a popular indoor plant owing to its ease to grow and attractive foliage. It produces lush foliage that is bright green with an amazing fresh appeal. It grows as a clump to about 30 cm tall and 35 cm wide. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is grown on a well-drained, sheltered site in partial shade. The Boston Fern is commonly grown as a potted plant in a hanging basket but can also be planted outdoors in frost free areas. In such circumstances it is well suited to planting around outdoor living areas and including in subtropical gardens.
