How to grow Monstera siltepecana in NZ

Monstera siltepecana is a tropical climber that thrives indoors or in warm, sheltered outdoor areas in NZ. Plant it in free-draining, peat-rich soil and position it in bright, indirect light. Protect it from direct sun, cold winds, and frost. Water regularly during active growth, allowing the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer to encourage lush growth. Support it with a moss pole or trellis as it climbs.
