Hypocyrta tropicana (Goldfish Plant)
Hypocyrta tropicana, commonly known as the Goldfish Plant, is a popular indoor plant owing to its foliage, flowers, and great form. The dark green, glossy leaves are held on stems that will grow with a trailing nature. These are adorned with masses of small, orange-yellow flowers that look like the mouth of a goldfish. These are generally produced during late spring and summer. It typically grows to 20 cm tall and 40 cm wide, preferring a warm spot without cold drafts and indirect light. The Goldfish plant is often grown in a hanging basket, used in offices or homes, where it can trail from a shelf or stand. This is a beautiful plant that is easy to grow and very rewarding.
