Hoya kerrii 'Variegated'

How to grow Hoya kerrii 'Variegated' in NZ

Hoya kerrii 'Variegated' grows best in bright filtered light with a free draining indoor plant mix. Avoid prolonged direct afternoon sun that may scorch the variegated leaves. Allow the growing media to dry slightly between watering and never leave the pot sitting in water. It can be grown outdoors in sheltered frost free locations during warmer months. Warm temperatures and good light encourage healthy growth and flowering.

Hoya kerrii 'Variegated' care tips

Hoya kerrii 'Variegated' is easy to care for and benefits from occasional feeding with a balanced liquid fertiliser during spring and summer. Reduce watering during winter when growth slows. Do not remove old flower spurs because new blooms develop from the same points. Wipe the leaves occasionally to remove dust and keep the attractive variegation looking fresh. With simple care this plant will remain healthy for many years.

Hoya kerrii 'Variegated' size, spacing, and growth rate

Hoya kerrii 'Variegated' develops trailing or climbing stems that commonly reach 1 to 2 metres or more when supported. Growth is slow to moderate, particularly while young, but becomes stronger as the plant matures. Allow sufficient room for the stems to trail or climb naturally. Mature plants reward patience with lush variegated foliage and beautifully scented flower clusters during the warmer months.
