Dracaena 'Jade Jewel'

How to grow Dracaena 'Jade Jewel' in NZ

Dracaena 'Jade Jewel' grows best in bright, indirect light and well-draining soil. It can tolerate lower light levels but produces the most vibrant colour in well-lit areas. Keep the soil slightly moist in warmer months and allow the top few centimetres to dry before watering again. Protect it from direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. This plant thrives indoors across New Zealand and adapts well to most home environments.

Dracaena 'Jade Jewel' care tips

Caring for Dracaena 'Jade Jewel' is easy and rewarding. Wipe the leaves regularly to remove dust and maintain their sheen. Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 6–8 weeks during the growing season. Avoid overwatering, as Dracaenas prefer slightly dry conditions. Trim away any yellowing leaves to keep the plant looking fresh. With the right care, this variety will stay lush, vibrant, and healthy all year round.

Dracaena 'Jade Jewel' size, spacing, and growth rate

Dracaena 'Jade Jewel' typically grows to around 1–1.2 metres tall and 60–80 centimetres wide indoors. It has a slow to moderate growth rate, making it perfect for long-term display in pots or planters. When repotting, choose a container just slightly larger than the root ball to prevent overwatering. Its compact form and elegant leaves make it a versatile plant for hallways, offices, and living rooms.
