Disporum cantoniense Moonlight is a popular indoor plant owing to its colourful foliage and ease to grow. It produces slender stems that host wavy leaves that are variegated cream and green. As cooler weather sets in they often develop purple tones. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 35 cm tall and 45 cm wide, and performs best when grown in partial shade or indirect light with a well-drained media. It does not do well in drafty spots and will not tolerate frost. Disporum cantoniense Moonlight is well suited to growing as a potted plant indoors and in office environments. It can be grown outdoors in frost-free areas and in such situations is suited to shaded areas of tropical and pool gardens.
