Begonia 'Little Devils'

How to grow Begonia 'Little Devils' in NZ

Grow Begonia 'Little Devils' in bright filtered light or gentle morning sun with sheltered conditions. It is ideal for containers, hanging baskets, and protected borders where the soil is fertile, free draining, and does not dry out completely. Plant into quality potting mix and position the crown at soil level. Water thoroughly after planting, then keep the mix evenly moist without allowing it to become waterlogged. Protect Begonia 'Little Devils' from frost, strong winds, and harsh midday sun. Good light, regular moisture, and airflow encourage healthy foliage and a long lasting display.

Begonia 'Little Devils' care tips

Begonia 'Little Devils' benefits from regular watering and feeding through the warmer growing season. Water when the top layer of potting mix begins to dry, taking care not to leave the roots sitting in water. Feed every two weeks with a diluted liquid fertiliser to support healthy foliage and flowering. Remove spent flowers and damaged leaves to keep the plant tidy and encourage fresh growth. Protect plants from frost and reduce watering as temperatures cool. Begonia 'Little Devils' performs best in a sheltered position with bright filtered light, steady moisture, and good drainage.

Begonia 'Little Devils' size, spacing, and growth rate

Begonia 'Little Devils' typically grows about 25 cm to 35 cm tall and wide, forming a neat compact plant with attractive foliage and flowering stems. Space plants approximately 25 cm to 30 cm apart in larger pots or sheltered borders so each plant has room to develop and air can move around the leaves. It has a moderate growth rate during warm weather and quickly creates a full display with regular feeding and moisture. Begonia 'Little Devils' is an excellent size for patio pots, window boxes, hanging baskets, and container combinations where compact colour and foliage are wanted.

Landscaping uses for Begonia 'Little Devils'

Begonia 'Little Devils' is ideal for patio pots, hanging baskets, window boxes, sheltered entryways, and bright outdoor living spaces. Its compact foliage and flowers create an attractive display against dark pot colours, timber, pale walls, and complementary shade loving plants.
