“Bambino” is an herbaceous perennial grown for its impressive foliage. The arrow shaped leaves are variegated dark green with silver-white veins, and have a velvet-looking texture. It typically grows to 40 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when grown on a well-drained, frost free, sheltered site in full sun or partial shade. It may die back in winter when grown outdoors but will generally regrow again in the spring. “Bambino” makes for a wonderful house or office plant and is suited to almost all indoor environments. When grown outdoors, it is commonly included in borders, maintained in a container, added to tropical plantings, planted around outdoor living areas, or mass planted for an outstanding display.
