“Ember's Wish” is a variety of Sage grown for its rich display of flowers from summer through autumn. It produces long and slender, flower spikes that host masses of showy, red flowers. The flowers sit neatly above the mid-green foliage and are great for attracting butterflies and birds. All parts of the plant are aromatic and produce a lovely fragrance when crushed or brushed against. It typically grows to 90 cm tall and 80 cm wide, performing best when grown on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is frost hardy once established and does require good levels of moisture during dry periods. “Ember's Wish” is ideal for herb gardens, mixed plantings, cottage gardens, borders, or container growing. A mass planting really suits this plant and gives a very rewarding display.
