Salvia African Sky is an herbaceous perennial grown for its rich display of flowers from summer through autumn. It produces long, slender, flower spikes with small, sky-blue flowers that are very striking. The flowers sit neatly above the dark green foliage and are great for attracting butterflies and small birds. It typically grows to 40 cm tall and the same wide, performing best on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is frost hardy once established and does require good levels of moisture during dry periods. Salvia African Sky is ideal for herb gardens, mixed plantings, cottage gardens, borders, or container growing. A mass planting really suits this plant and gives a very rewarding display.
