“Blueberry Taffy” is a variety of Penstemon grown for its colourful and dainty flowers. It produces upright stems carrying numerous bell-shaped, two-tone pink flowers from summer through until autumn. The flowers provide amazing beauty and are great for attracting birds and butterflies. The foliage comprises fine, mid-green leaves which sit neatly below the flowers. It is an evergreen perennial in warmer climates but may become deciduous in colder environments where it may die back to regrow again in spring. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It will tolerate a mild frost and requires constant moisture during dry periods. “Blueberry Taffy” is perfect for mixed plantings, cottage gardens, container growing, or mass planting for an outstanding display.
