Orthrosanthus multiflorus is an herbaceous perennial grown for its delicate and pretty flowers. It grows as a clump of green, strap like foliage which becomes adorned with blue-purple flowers through spring and summer. This showy plant typically grows to 30 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It will tolerate dry periods, coastal environments, and moderate frost. Orthrosanthus multiflorus is commonly included in rock and cottage gardens, used in border and mixed plantings, maintained in a container, or mass planted on a bank or the like for a wondrous display.
