“Can Can” is a variety of Geum grown for its stunning flowers from late spring through summer. This variety produces frilly, yellow flowers with a peach blush on slender stems above the lush, green foliage. This herbaceous perennial grows as a dense clump to about 30 cm tall and 50 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It will tolerate moderate frost, cool climates, and periods of dry, but in cool climates it may die back during winter to regrow again when conditions warm. “Can Can” is commonly included in borders, used in cottage gardens, planted to attract butterflies, or mass planted for an impressive display. It is also well suited to planting around outdoor living areas such as pools and the like, or growing in a container.
