“So White” is an herbaceous perennial that produces masses of small, white flowers atop rich foliage. The four-petaled flowers are borne on wiry stems from late spring through summer above the narrow, green leaves. The flowers move like butterflies in light breezes. It grows as a mound to about 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun. “So White” is commonly included in borders and mixed plantings, added to cottage and “white” gardens, maintained in a container, or mass planted. In colder regions it is often treated as an annual and replanted each year. This plant is highly valued for its long flowering and is often used as a cut flower.
