“Canary Yellow” is a variety of the commonly known, African Daisy, and is grown for its striking, daisy-like flowers. The bright and showy flowers produced from winter through summer are bright yellow. They are held above the lush, grey foliage which provides for a great contrast. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 40 cm tall and 1 m wide with a spreading habit, and performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, coastal conditions, moderate frost, cool climates, and some wind. “Canary Yellow” is commonly mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, included in coastal gardens, planted along the edge of a path or in borders, or used to brighten up a dull corner of the garden.
