“Twister” is a variety of Agapanthus that produces large and showy clusters of white flowers with a dark blue throat off slender stems through summer. The dark green, strap like foliage provides a lovely backdrop to the flowers. This herbaceous perennial grows as a tidy clump to about 60 cm tall and the same wide, growing best in full sun on a well-drained site. It tends to be more compact on marginal soil conditions and will tolerate frost, cool climates, dry periods, and coastal conditions. This is a versatile plant that can be used as a low maintenance option on dry sites or in situations with poor soil conditions such as hot, sunny banks. It is also used in borders, as a groundcover, or included in a mixed planting. Plant en masse for best displays.
