Agapanthus ‘Pavlova’ is a dwarf variety that carries white flowers on slender stems through summer. The dark green, strap like foliage provides a lovely contrast to the flowers. This herbaceous perennial grows as a tidy clump to about 35 cm tall and the same wide, growing best in full sun on a well-drained site. It tends to be more compact on marginal soil conditions and will tolerate frost, cool climates, and dry periods. Agapanthus ‘Pavlova’ is a versatile plant that can be used as a low maintenance option on dry sites or in situations with poor soil conditions such as hot, sunny banks. It is also used in borders, as a groundcover, in “white” gardens, or included in mixed plantings. A mass planting affords the best displays with this variety.
