Hebe diosmifolia is a NZ native shrub grown for both its foliage and flowers. It grows as a bushy and rounded shrub with small, bright green leaves held on short, slender stems. From winter through spring it produces showy clusters of delicate, white flowers which literally transforms the plant. The combination of foliage and flowers is very aesthetic. It typically grows to 1 m tall and 1.5 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, coastal conditions, dry periods, and moderate wind. This variety is commonly added to a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around outdoor living areas, used in cottage or “white” gardens, or mass planted either on a bank or as a groundcover.
