NZ Moss

Scleranthus brockiei, commonly known as NZ moss, is a NZ native ground cover plant grown for its dense and fine foliage. This evergreen, perennial forms a bright green mat and hosts tiny leaves that are just 3-6 mm long. It produces tiny, cream flowers on short stalks in late spring which are followed by small berries. It grows as a mound to about 20 cm tall and 60 cm wide. Scleranthus brockiei is commonly used in rock or gravel gardens where it will grow over rocks. It is also well suited to growing in Japanese styled gardens, being maintained in a container, or for planting around outdoor living areas.
