Pratia ‘Country Park’ is a NZ native that is often grown as a hardy ground cover. The small leaves on this plant give the appearance of a lush, green carpet. It becomes adorned with masses of small, china-blue flowers from spring through until autumn. It typically grows to 10 cm tall and will spread to 50 cm over 2-3 years, though it can be cut back as needed. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods and light frost once established. Pratia ‘Country Park’ is commonly used as a ground cover, grown an alternative to a grass lawn, included in and cottage gardens, or planted between paving stones and the like. It also looks amazing when grown in a hanging basket and allowed to trail over the sides.
