Coprosma brunnea (aka Coprosma acerosa brunnea) is a sprawling shrub that grows up to 40 cm tall and 1 m wide. It has brown stems which become intertwined. The leaves are narrow and rather sparse. Coprosma brunnea is commonly used as a ground cover, in borders, for planting around larger trees or on a bank, and in alpine gardens.
