Vinca minor Blue is a variety of the commonly known, Periwinkle, features bright green leaves which are held densely on stems that creep along the ground. Single, blue flowers adorn the plant through spring as it grows to about 20 cm tall and 1 m wide. Vinca minor Blue is commonly used where a hardy groundcover is required. It can be mown to ‘freshen it up’ and will regrow again without issue. It is also often grown in a container or hanging basket where it can cascade over the sides.

Vinca minor Blue is a variety of the commonly known, Periwinkle, and is an herbaceous perennial commonly used as a groundcover. It features bright green leaves which are held densely on stems that creep along the ground and take root as they grow. Single, blue flowers adorn the plant through spring. It typically grows to 20 cm tall and will quickly spread to cover 1 m but can be contained with trimming. This plant grows in almost any soil condition except at the extremes of wet and dry and thrives in shaded conditions. It is tolerant of frost, wind, and extended dry periods once established. Vinca minor Blue is commonly used where a hardy groundcover is required. It can be mown to ‘freshen it up’ and will regrow again without issue. It is also often grown in a container or hanging basket where it can cascade over the sides.
