Tetragonia tetragonioides is a leafy NZ native groundcover naturally found along beaches, sand dunes, cliff faces, and rock ledges. It trails or climbs, forming thick carpets or hanging over banks, growing 30-50 cm tall and 2 m wide. It is commonly used in coastal gardens, to cover banks, trail over walls, or in containers as a trailing plant.
