Selliera 'Sundrops'

How to grow Selliera 'Sundrops' in NZ

Selliera 'Sundrops' grows best in full sun to partial shade with free draining soil. Plant in spring or autumn to allow strong establishment. This variety is well suited to New Zealand conditions and tolerates wind, salt spray, and light frost. Water regularly during establishment, then only during extended dry periods. It performs well in poor soils where drainage is good. Set the plant at its original nursery depth and water the surrounding soil thoroughly after planting.

Selliera 'Sundrops' care tips

Selliera 'Sundrops' is very easy to care for and requires minimal ongoing maintenance. Trim lightly if needed to maintain a tidy shape and encourage fresh growth. Apply a light general fertiliser in spring if desired, though feeding is rarely necessary. Water sparingly once established. This plant is resilient and dependable with little attention required. Check established plants regularly so damaged growth or developing problems can be addressed promptly. Keep maintenance practical and consistent so the plant remains attractive as it develops.

Selliera 'Sundrops' size, spacing, and growth rate

Selliera 'Sundrops' typically grows to around 0.1 to 0.15 m tall and spreads up to 0.5 m wide. It has a moderate spreading growth rate and forms a dense mat over time.
