Rosmarinus 'Azure Cascade'

How to grow Rosmarinus ‘Azure Cascade’ in NZ

Plant ‘Azure Cascade’ in full sun with free-draining soil for best flowering and foliage quality. It tolerates poor soils and coastal conditions well. Water regularly during the first year to establish roots, then only in prolonged dry spells. Lightly prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Avoid excessive fertiliser to preserve flavour and bloom quality.

Rosmarinus ‘Azure Cascade’ care tips

Allow room for the plant to trail naturally. Avoid overwatering and ensure good drainage to prevent root rot. Harvest sprigs regularly for cooking, which also helps keep the plant compact. This variety is frost-hardy in most NZ regions.

‘Azure Cascade’ grows 30–50 cm tall and spreads or trails up to 1.5–2 m wide. Space plants 1–1.2 m apart for continuous groundcover. Growth is moderate to fast in warm, sunny conditions.
